Haiti is not that far from where I live, and yet I did not feel the earth move. No plates, no tectonics. I can't grasp the enormities of those kinds of disasters. I can't grasp the wanting to go there and help. I'm not wired that way; for me, it's more micro. When I do, I do for those I know; when I give, I give to strangers. I like Doctors Without Borders and also Habitat for Humanity. More good stuff from Google.
