Signing off with Komen

Cancer didn't ask my cousin's views on abortion before it killed her.

So I sent this letter to the founder, president, and public relations person today, along with my unopened solicitation in red, called LOVE, for Valentines Day::
To Nancy Brinker, Karen Handel, Elizabeth Thompson

Subject:      PLEASE REMOVE MY NAME
I’ve had quite enough of your organization after the recent unpleasantness.  I thought you represented an important way to get funds directly to doctors to find a cure for breast cancer.  I’ve lost 3 close friends and family members to this disease and supported your organization in their names and memories.

I know that my friends were not exclusionary in any way in their outlooks.  Therefore, since I feel completely betrayed by your group, I am withdrawing my support.  You may take my name off your donor list immediately.  I will find another way to support this cause… or I will not.

I was an early feminist; I support Roe v. Wade and the right for women to choose when to begin their families. Planned Parenthood was there for me when I needed them; therefore, I have always supported Planned Parenthood and the Planned Parenthood Foundation, especially since the men who run the government have chosen to curtail funding for their own personal and/or religious reasons.

Planned Parenthood supports all women in all health ways. Your organization funds doctors who maybe someday will cure some women who have this certain disease.  I see now it was my mistake to donate emotionally, to such a narrowly focused organization.  I will now re-think my donation strategy.
Removed them from my goodness page. I haven't acted so strongly in a long time, more's the pity.
UPDATE_1:  It was Handel's idea.
UPDATE-2:  A bad idea, badly handled. But now she's gone.
